Vista Social vs Buffer

By Jean Luc Poitier, VistaReviews · Updated July 28, 2026

Buffer is the simplest way to schedule posts, with a genuinely free plan and $6/channel pricing that's unbeatable for a solo creator with a few channels. But reviewers in our set outgrew it: 'Buffer was too simple' is a direct quote. Vista Social costs more at entry but bundles the inbox, listening, reviews, reporting, and automations Buffer doesn't have — and per-channel pricing inverts at scale, where 15 channels on Buffer already rivals Vista Social's flat $79.

Seamless onboarding experience

Great onboarding experience — associates are highly informed on troubleshooting and connecting accounts. It can be a little overwhelming when first utilizing all the features because the system is so versatile and robust. We chose it over Sprout Social, Buffer, and Hootsuite: more affordable and more comprehensive. Buffer was too simple while Sprout and Hootsuite are too costly for a small business our size.

Easier to navigate than Khoros, Sprinklr, or Sprout

Having used Khoros, Sprinklr, Buffer, Hootsuite, HubSpot, and Sprout Social, I found Vista Social easier to navigate, with clear, intuitive menus and a clean user experience.
